Minimalism has effected so many areas of my life since I began this journey. After clearing away all the stuff, I was essentially just left with me, myself, and I. I began looking at myself rather than what was around me. Like I said in a previous post, when they call you crazy: leaving the 9-5 and finding your potential, I dealt with a number of health issues that resulted due to poor eating habits and stress. I knew that I wanted to change.
There was also the added motivation that my sister’s wedding is in a year (I’m completely freaking out about that internally!). Naturally, I want to look my best. So, I started hitting the gym and became more serious about eating clean and vegan. I certainly have not reached my ultimate goal of weighing 115 pounds (I’m 4’11), but I have dropped 10 pounds in the last several weeks.
As I was on the elliptical yesterday, I was thinking about the reasons why I have come to love working out so much and what helped keep me motivated. Music is a big part of what keeps me motivated.
I love being able to be inside my own head for awhile – especially when I have music in my ears that I pushes me forward and motivates me to keep going. I thought that it would be fun to share what I’m listening to with you guys!
